Meet Misty
Misty Gaither is the Senior Manager of the Global Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Business Partner team and directly supports Senior Technical Leaders at Indeed; primarily focused on removing bias and barriers from systems and processes, advising on how to build more inclusive products and building a culture of Inclusion and Belonging.
Misty spent the majority of her career in various sales leadership roles while working for Altria Group and JPMorgan Chase up until a few years ago when she pivoted into D&I by way of Business Development at a Non-Profit start up focused on Racial Equity and Inclusion in tech. Leading Business Development efforts at Code2040 gave Misty an inside look at the Talent Attraction, HR and D&I operations at some of the most coveted tech companies in Silicon Valley and led her to go “in-house” to work on D&I at Twilio. Misty’s cross industry experience contributes to her wealth of knowledge and unique approach to developing strategies that will incorporate DI&B into the infrastructure of the company.
Misty is a natural connector and relationship builder. She is familiar with being one of the “only” in the room, has an innate ability to engage with leadership, and isn’t afraid to ask the tough questions and present her recommendations for solutions. She leverages being the “only” in a room as her superpower and is passionate about implementing change through education and awareness about the innumerable topics surrounding DI&B.
Misty is a proud alumna of the illustrious Florida A&M University, School of Business and Industry where she earned her degree in Business Administration (Concentration in Marketing) and the Founder of HBCU No Regrets. Misty is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., a dog mom to Dash (7y/o yorkie), a super active Godmother of 3, and enjoys fitness, fashion, travel, brunch, reading and spending time with family and friends.
